EASTERN TURKEY SEISMIC EXPERIMENT PROJECT

 
 

 

Eartern Turkey Seismic Experiment (ETSE) is a joint project between the members and researchers fromBogazi University, Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI) and Cornell University from United States.

 

ETSE was carried out in order to address the crucial questions relevant to the tectonic evolution of the Anatolian Plateau and the surroundings. This research is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Geophysics Program (Grant No. EAR-9804780). Additional support is also provided for the Turkish researchers by a Bogazici University Research Fund (Grant No. 99T206). In addition, Ataturk University, MTA and TPAO orgazizations provided both research wise  and logistical support to this project.
