Dear participants of WEGENER 2010,
We want to thank you all for following our invitation to the
15th General Assembly of WEGENER which took place in
Bogazici University, Istanbul from the 14th to the 17th
September 2010. We would also like to thank our sponsors for
their support.
We believe that we have achieved the objectives of the
meeting. With around 90 participants from 15 countries,
WEGENER 2010 provided a platform for presentation,
discussion, coordination and scientific support for
geoscientists interested in unraveling the kinematics and
mechanisms of the broad Eurasian/African/Arabian collision
zone. We hope that WEGENER 2010 has given you the
opportunity to meet new people and develop your projects and
research further.
A selection of papers will be published in a special issue
of a reputable international journal. Details for paper
submission to this special issue will be announced soon.
Best Regards,
Local Organizing Committee
