Abstract : This
Project is planning to establish a micro-geodetic network on NW-SE
trending Tuzla fault-Izmir in order to determine the relative
displacements and to perform strain analysis by using GPS technique.
This project is planning to perform a large scale monitoring study as
combination of episodic GPS observations and precise leveling
observations to determine displacement vectors and strain rates in
order to understand fault characteristics of Tuzla fault.

Halıcıoğlu, Ahmet Altın Supporting Institution: Bogazici University Abstract :This
Project aims to detect relative displacements in a micro-geodetic
network and perform strain analysis on NE-SW trending Tuzla fault-Izmir
placed between Cape of Doganbey and Cumaovasi by GPS technique and
precise leveling measurements which will be performed on the points of
leveling network concurrently.
Project Code::5546 Project Title: Determination of Current Crustal Deformations using Space Geodetic Techniques: Western part of NAFZ Project Executive:
Prof. Dr. Haluk Ozener Project Team: Dr.Onur Yilmaz, Dr. Asli Dogru,
Res.Assist. Kerem Halicioglu, Res.Assist. Asli Sabuncu, Sur.Eng. Bulent Turgut, Ahmet Altın Supporting Institution: Bogazici University Abstract : In
this study, it is planned to detect current crustal deformation by GPS
technique on the four microgeodetic networks which are located along
the western part of North Anatolian Fault Zone. The GPS velocities data
coming from geodynamic GPS networks of the crustal deformation studies
and the analysis of repeated geodetic observations give us significant
information about the elastic deformation. Therefore, the data which
will be gathered from this project can be integrated with previous data
and used to analyze GPS velocity fields and strain accumulation in the
study area.

Abstract: Crustal deformation at western and eastern North Anatolian
Fault Zone (NAFZ) will be investigated by GPS observations and InSAR technique
using radar data. Besides, datasets will be integrated into GIS after quality
control and processing.
