STUDY ON THE IDENTIFICATION OF NATURAL VIBRATION FREQUENCIES OF THE SULEYMANIYE MOSQUE

In this study dynamic characteristics of Süleymaniye Mosque is investigated. A numerical three dimensional finite element model is constructed in order to compare the ambient vibrations test results done on the structure. Both test results and numerical model results are then compared to identify dynamic characteristics of the structures such as the mode shapes and peak frequencies of the structure.
